WaterSaver Faucet Co., a laboratory faucet and valve manufacturer in Chicago expanded and renovated their world headquarters consisting of manufacturing, research and development, material handling, storage areas, and corporate offices. SKJN oversaw the project as Owner’s Representative at the early stages of the project and eventually took over the project as the Architect of Record. The project has added an addition of 45,000 square feet of atrium, offices and loading dock, and renovated 80,000 square feet of existing manufacturing and assembly plants.
SKJN worked with WaterSaver Faucet to meticulously layout their state of the art 60,000 square foot machining area as well as with coordinating to streamline WaterSaver’s material handling systems. SKJN also planned WaterSaver’s 18,000 square feet of specialized storage areas, entirely renovated their chrome and nickel plating area, and conveyorized powder coating area. The project has received LEED Gold certification by the US Green Building Council.
